Why

In the shadows of my broken heart’s grave
To her love always I have been the slave
All these years later
All those tears cried
A lesser felt love
Would have surely died
A blessing or curse
I can never be sure
Joy turned to pain
That I still endure
Her love still haunts me
To this very day
No matter how I try
I can never get away
So I ask this one question
To myself and wonder why
Will I still love her
Even after I die
