Left Behind

Bitter and broken
Shattered and torn
Resentful and angry
Weary and worn

Silently screaming
Controlled by fears
Falling apart
Scarred by tears

Wrecklessly wandering
Dreaming aloud
Sinfully hoping
Shamefully proud

Eternal damnation
Tied to the rage
Peace, so elusive
Burning with hate

Craving salvation
Just out of reach
Chained and on trial
Lonely and weak

Regret and despair
Flows, deep, through my veins
No turning back
Too late to change

Beckoned by lies
Into the abyss
Called by the darkness
Poisoned by it's kiss

Lost and alone
Abandoned by all
I try to rise up
Only to stumble and fall

Aching for acceptance
None, could I find
Burdened with sorrow
Alone and left behind
