Trying

I try to let you go each day,
I try to forget you in every way,
But no matter how hard I keep trying,
Each time I do my heart feels like it's dying,
I miss your touch,I miss your kiss,
I never knew true love could hurt like this,
But when it was over and you moved on,
I just couldn't seem to my feelings are too strong,
I want you close right by my side,
I wanted so much to be your bride,
And when you asked me to have my hand,
I knew then it was in God's plan,
For you and I to spend a lifetime together,
To share our hearts with each other forever,
But I guess I was wrong because you let go of me,
So now God's plan is so easy to see,
I was meant to love you and get nothing in return,
And to spend my life longing for your love in return,
So I'll just keep waiting and to my heart keep lying,
And letting go of you I must go on trying.
