Angelic Thoughts

Looking down from heaven
Seeing you alight
you car is parked
beside her door
nearly hidden in the night.

She greets you at the door
you gently kiss her face
I look down
in jealousy
that used to be my place.

You walk in through the doorway
she takes your hand and sighs
she's happy now
that I'm not there
and you've said your goodbyes.

Now I'm here in heaven
It's not heaven for me
You're down there
and I'm up here
It's not where I should be.

Your time isn't up yet
but my time's come and gone
I can't stay
beside you
but somehow I'll be strong.
