The Flame

She stares at the flames ,
At how they crack and whip in
no known direction,
She watches them dance In the
wind,
With no set path,
She envies fire..
For it represents the freedom
she desires...
A tear escaped her eye,
She reaches out but the flame
dies
Realizing that her own breathe
killed the flame,
She was always holding herself
back...
Killing the fire within her with
her own fear,
The fear dwelling in those damn
tears.

Hi Ileana! Just stumbled by accident on this poem, and I am very much impressed. You seek freedom, but it does not always come free of charge! // paul
