Suffocated

My biggest fear is to be alone with my thoughts,
To be surrounded by the past,
Swallowed whole by my mistakes,
Stalked by what could've been, what should've been,
And being eaten alive by the insecurity I mask day by day,
I guess it can be said that my biggest fear is myself,

The person that hides behind the red lips, the soft brown eyes,
Who smiles when internally she cries for help,
The person who is suffocated .

The Sailor

She watched as her
heart set sail,
Not knowing what the
future held for him,

Her mind wishing
fair winds and a
following sea,
Her emotions ebbing
from stability ,
But she knew it was
only right ,
For her heart really
belonged to the sea,
And the sailor
smiled cause he knew
that with her
blessing he was
finally free,
So silently she
watched as her heart
set sail ,
And shed a few tears
as her sun slowly
fell.

The Flame

She stares at the flames ,
At how they crack and whip in
no known direction,
She watches them dance In the
wind,
With no set path,
She envies fire..
For it represents the freedom
she desires...
A tear escaped her eye,
She reaches out but the flame
dies
Realizing that her own breathe
killed the flame,
She was always holding herself
back...
Killing the fire within her with
her own fear,
The fear dwelling in those damn
tears.

Him

He stood there,
Face hard, body cold,
She stood in front of him,
Screaming at the top of her lungs,
Tears roll down her cheek,
She held his hand against her chest.

"I'm Here, I'm Real"

Nothing. Silence.
His eyes just stared ahead,
Body still as stone,
So she finally let go and stared back,
For what serves a body with no soul?
