The Oasis

Life is the survival of the fittest and it’s the greatest battle we’ll ever endure. It’s plagued with ups and downs , so in the midst of it all we comb through the wilderness in search of an oasis. A place where you can truly feel at ease. It was there that I spotted her.

She was like a swan
her beauty was immense
but when she spread her wings
her grace surpassed it all
Thought it happens often
Every time she does I’m left bewildered
I believe that nature is a marvelous thing crafted by God himself
but it’s hard to imagine such a fascinating creature of wonder

This inner passion in me wants to pursue,
but this is different from a regular hunt.
I want to lover her, but I’ve no experience.
I’ll step on a twig, she’ll be startled and drift away.

Which is more painful?
Admiring something from afar that you’re afraid to grasp.
Or being the reason why they’re so far away.
My thought are many but my words or few, these words I’ve written are just fragments of what crosses my mind when I think of you

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
