Demon With Blade Hands

Hello little girl
He grins
As he stands in the doorway
Startled she curls away

Please
She begs
Please
Youve been but a memory for so long
Why now
Why do you breathe down my neck
As soon as my defences fail

He laughs manically
Stepping closer
To where she lies broken
Because my dear
You called

She whimpers as she feels him
Wrapping his blade like claws
Tightly around her waist
Yanking her closer with no grace

She writhes in pain
Screaming and fighting
For him to stop this unbareable
Seige

His claws only dig deeper
Into once scarred flesh
Opening old wounds
She tried so hard to forget

Why is she this way
Why does she need the thing
She used to fear so much
Now become her only way of showing worth
How can something so sacred
Become so evil?

She used to fear traveling hands
And unchecked gazes so much
Now she wishes for them
Because maybe that will make her feel
Worthy
Whole
Not a wasted breath

Thoughts wash over her mind
He smiles as he sees her fray
Is this his chance to stay?

Thoughts of hurt and blood
Thoughts of anger and fear
Thoughts she thought will never reappear

Yet here they are.
Jeering at her broken frame
Come on little girl
Come on and get back
The ditch isnt that bad.

We are your demons
You held us so dear
For all those years you wished
We never dissapeared
Like a child's blanket you clung
To us
Your only release was silver
Touching flesh....

She screams
Hoping they will go away
Die down with the feelings of hate

He laughs again
Now breathing down her neck
Holding her
Like a lover holds their other soul
He pulls her closer
She feels him hard against her back

Is there a worth in fighting?
Is there worth in trying?
Is there worth in even breathing?

Is there worth in her...
