Innocence

On the outside it doesn’t show,
hiding beneath a scarred surface.
Replaced time after time
but still holding strong.
Far from perfect porcelain,
a beauty so deep it can’t be seen.
Feeling lost in this world,
putting on a smile
maybe you can be innocent again?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Our hearts should be the key factor in determining how much we can embrace that innocence again. This was wonderfully expressed!
