With Out Saying

He left without saying goodbye
How could someone so young die?
I’ll never forget the day
When our principle came in to say,
“We lost a fellow classmate today.”
Our heads went blank our bodies still
No one wanted to believe these words were real
Over half a year has gone by
And alone at night I still cry
He was the freshman clown,
Known, by most of the town.
He was so young when he had to die
And was never given the chance to say goodbye
Dedicated to PRJ 09/19/85-09/28/99
