With Out Saying

He left without saying goodbye
How could someone so young die?
I’ll never forget the day
When our principle came in to say,
“We lost a fellow classmate today.”
Our heads went blank our bodies still
No one wanted to believe these words were real
Over half a year has gone by
And alone at night I still cry
He was the freshman clown,
Known, by most of the town.
He was so young when he had to die
And was never given the chance to say goodbye
Dedicated to PRJ 09/19/85-09/28/99

My Friend

My Friend I don’t know who I am Or even what you want But if we’re being honest Just let me be upfront. This isn’t how I intended For my life to go this way But everything has its reason So what is left to say? I love you with my heart and soul And in return I’m left to cry I want you in my arms forever Yet you can’t even seem to try. Had I known I’d be left So lonely in the dark, I hope I would’ve had the sense, Not to join you in the park. The best of days have quickly Come to end I wish I’d never ruined you By making you my friend.
