Im Glad I Waited

Days passed by but the nights were longer,
Hopes were lost, I would wonder
The ones before you left me in peace’s,

Shattered from the inside.
With a love unspoken
Love at first sight? A myth?

No,

You swept me off my feet
You incouraged me to take a leap
You showed me the light in my darkest moments
You found me.

A single flower on the wall
A single cloud in the desert
You found me and made me better.

My protector
My lover
My everything

I’m glad I waited
       For you.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
