No One's There

I sit by the phone waiting
I call time after time again
Counting each ring as they go unanswerd
Tonight there's no voice to confort me
No one to say "I love you".
My time is up, and I hang up
My heart aches, as my tears fall
I wanted to say "I miss you".
As I sit by the phone waiting

Another poem of pain and passion!... It's a sad refrain Mary!... And the way it is, not even a leprechaun with all its magic could wipe away those tears, and make your life better.... I suggest you fill up your house with phones, phones and more phones, until all that ringing creates an echo in your head; until you realize that time is really on your side. Step away Mary, and let time gently pass. Sincerely Larry Colvin Lawrence the poet
