After the Rain
A thousand drops pelted down,
from infinity to the dessicated ground,
soil,like a weary drunkard,
relished the sumptuous drink.
Maids of nature in dusty green gowns-
with lassitude in their eyes,
swayed in breeze and gaiety
as the raindrops tittilated them.
Hefty blue clouds of myraid sizes
congregated 'round the Sun
to boast their strength and
display their power and might.
Suave Sun smiled and from
his gilded robe,picked a wand,
swished it once or twice in air
built a bow beyond speculation.
Blue clouds shrank with shame and
melted i fervour of Sun's smile,
Lady Earth,embellished with the bow
