Thanks To You
I need to learn to love myself.
Until I do I can't truly love anybody else.
I feel happiness when among friends,
And they will always be with me till the end.
But when I looked in the mirror I felt ashamed.
Till this one blonde haired boy came.
When around him I felt approval.
I felt happy with myself, but only until his removal.
Again I felt ashamed,
And deep in my heart I felt pain.
Down my face ran so many tears,
Then my brain said "You got to learn to love yourself my dear."
Sure that boy made me feel pain,
But I thank him for something he made me gain.
He made me feel good about myself,
And I gained the self confidence that I should have about myself.
I'm starting to love my hips and curves,
And if you call me fat boy you got some nerve.
I love the hue of my lips and eyes
I love my red hair even though it dyed.
I'm learning to love my body,
And I ain't takin s*** from nobody.
I love that blonde hair boy who I now call my friend.
Knowing he will always be my friend till the end.
