Playwight

Chew me up and spit me out,
Track me down on my route.
Don’t let me get away with that,
If I get up knock me flat.
Keep a watch on what I do,
Make sure it’s what you want me to.
Don’t let me stray from the path,
If I do rain down your wrath.
Steel my spirit with your will,
Keep me moving straight until,
My work is finally said and done,
Then I’ll return to share the fun.

This is me the poet talking about me the playwright. When I write these silly rhymes I can do or say anything that I want but in a play adapted from a book I must remain true to the story. I’ll never adapt someone else’s work again.

I don't think you have to adapt, you are quite the individual and very able to have your own opinions which are fascinating to say the least. Your rhymes are always wonderful to savor! :)

Hi Tony--I am so sorry to hear you are having such a rough time of the working on that play! Aye, I hear what you are saying. This is why I am playing with poetry instead of plucking away at my novel... I write fiction for the MARKET, but I write poetry for ME. Hope you are otherwise doing well, that things calmed down at work. You are missed here- but take care of you! Prayers sent your way-Cyndi
