Hopeless Chemistry

Into your heart, a hopeless race.
Do you feel what I feel within?
Our chemistry could blow this wretched place.

Every time I see your face,
My broken dreams come easy then.
Into your heart a hopeless race.

Its closing in, I have no space.
The look on your face, that grin.
Our chemistry could blow this wretched place.

Fingers tied together like lace,
Our love would be the perfect sin.
Into your heart, a hopeless race.

A heart of love I’d trace,
Just so your love I’d win.
Our chemistry could blow this wretched place.

I don’t want to be second place,
Or a could have been.
Into your heart a hopeless race,
Our chemistry could blow this wretched place.
