Remember me

Your voice is not only one of a kind.
It is also what gave back most words meaning.
Words that have long lost meaning to me.
For instance love.
If a woman cannot be yours alone.
Then she is no woman.
That a woman cannot be shared amongst men.
Therefore you are not a woman.
Hence I must be on my way,
To wherever far from you.
Remember me.

Love today once more has no meaning.
I will visit you now and then in my memories.
Then revisit you in my dreams.
At least not you yet the version of you,
That I thought I had known.
For if not through these memories,
For if not through these dreams.
Then how elsewhere would we journey,
Between times.

Today I feel grief like I have lost you to death.
Is it death I've lost you to?
If death is a man then yes I've lost you to death.
Then even in death remember me.
