Bonga Moni Poem
Your voice is not only one of a kind.
It is also what gave back most words meaning.
Words that have long lost meaning to me.
For instance love.
If a woman cannot be yours alone.
Then she is no woman.
That a woman cannot be shared amongst men.
Therefore you are not a woman.
Hence I must be on my way,
To wherever far from you.
Remember me.
Love today once more has no meaning.
I will visit you now and then in my memories.
Then revisit you in my dreams.
At least not you yet the version of you,
That I thought I had known.
For if not through these memories,
For if not through these dreams.
Then how elsewhere would we journey,
Between times.
Today I feel grief like I have lost you to death.
Is it death I've lost you to?
If death is a man then yes I've lost you to death.
Then even in death remember me.

Bonga Moni Poem
A candle to a man at night is light.
Yet to a man whose loneliness is as that of,
An orphan.
A candle then is company.
A candle to a man at night is light.
Yet to a man whose heart,
Whose heart is as lightweight as a rock so huge.
A candle then is comfort.
Then to a man whose room at night,
Is not the only dark place of his life,
A man whose very world is dark.
A candle then is not just light,
Yet is what fades away the darkness.
Before the man self fades away by darkness.
For this I keep Candle by my side,
In case I need someone to talk to of my troubles,
Yet now that I've met you,
I won't need Candle no more,will I?
My brain became sleepless the day I met you.
It has been sleepless ever since.
So even in my sleep I not only dream of you,
I think of you.
Just so you know,
I had to close my eyes to see,
Just how much you mean to me.
Then I saw you dazzling in my heart.
Dazzling beyond ,
The darkness of my closed eyes.
Yes the snow fell upon me.
Whitened my shoulders.
It couldn't whiten my heart.
Yet you have whitened my heart.
For this I mean you no harm.
My heart is full of love.
So are my hands.
So do not be alarmed when I come at your door,
Knocking with my foot.
I wouldn't want to let fall this love.
Instead I'd let myself fall as I have,
All for you.
Someone said so earlier that love,
Is nothing but fiction for fairy tales.
Not when I see it in me.
Not when I see it in you.
He lied.
Maybe it is fiction to you.
However if it is real in me.
Then allow it be in you as well.
It has to be real.
If you can't allow it be real,
At least allow it not be unreal.
It is written by God's hand.
Written that a man will meet a woman.
I am a man so I met you.
Allow our two hearts,
To feel as one as eyes see as one,
At least as ears hear as one.
Allow me yourself be mine,
If you cannot,
At least allow me be yours as I am.
Burn me with your arms,
Then water me with your lips.
If you can't I will let you go.
If only you can look at me now,
Without taking away my breath.
A breathless man is a dead man,
Yet you take away my breath for a moment,
Whenever I see you,
Yet in that moment I feel most alive.
Be mine if you can't I'll let go.
If only you can convince me ,
That I am okay without you.
If only you can remove my heart,
Without killing me.
Even if you would,
Still I'd love you even more without a heart.

Bonga Moni Poem
The ocean is wide as these troubles,
That our children are yet to be faced with.
The ocean is warm as that I cannot remember,
Yet that which almost froze me to death.
The ocean is deep as this love of not this pain.
Knowing this my lady long looking at you,
I cannot help but wonder,
How deep your heart if not love might be,
How much pain you might leave me with,
Should you not find pleasure in your stay.
Maybe should your stay be desired elsewhere.
Where you too might desire to be.
However if there is what I can do to keep you.
I will do that and more to see you stay.
However it is in one's choice to stay.
A precise prophet predicted in his books,
That a woman will free a man.
Here you are.
You have given me freedom and beyond.
For this I am grateful and beyond.
Someone said a man cannot do without a woman,
Yet I can do without a woman,
However I cannot do without you,
Yet you are a woman,
I guess I cannot do without a woman afterall.
For this even if we were given a thousand years,
To live still this love would live throughout,
Then remain in the air after we're gone.
A father fell asleep first before his child.
While a mother sang a lullaby to their child.
We are children after all.
Let me grow old with you.
If you cannot then let me grow young instead.
With you.
Some things do not belong in some places.
So for this if it is not I you are ever with,
Then come home.
For the dust of land cannot rest upon the clouds,
But upon land where it belongs.
You are my dust as I am your land.
If I am not home then you have none.
