A Reflection

A Reflection
My soul is one, my body is one.
I soaked my soul in drink.
And like my stone, cold heart
my dark, dark soul did sink.
My soul is one, my body is one.
They do not always blend
broken mirror, broken glass,
Twins clash in opposition.
My soul is one, my body is one,
like the sign of the yin and the yang.
Red wolves waiting in ambush,
Watching, snarling, . . . circling, glaring.
Walking barefoot on crackled glass.
One is my soul; one is my body.
In the silence of my mind,
the soft voice whispers “this too shall pass.”
In time, my soul should feel.
And in the place of my poor, tired heart,
a stained-glass window heals.

I am hearing a lot of my story within your lines, and I know this struggle well. Each of your well-crafted lines draws memories to the front of the war within and 33 years ago I walked out of the storm... My thoughts and prayers march alongside you....graet read

Nice piece, bottom of a bottle only finds pleasure but at same time misery soaks in stew. I sense the anger in broken glass like a soul dieing for thirst. We are always one with soul cause without either we can not be. Sometimes we take beating from life but I like think myself Eveready battery. Just keep going, going, going! Like being in a fight, you not going stand there and take ass beating so why you allow man to disrupt one? Man only find himself/his faults when he is ready to face truth. Only than will you find change and the love your heart craves. God's love n~mine, many blessings be your journey

The twins disagree, but disassembly is required to reassemble something much more beautiful, a renewal. Nicely done, very meaningful. - Christopher Haywood
