Invisible Battles

I cannot be judged by looks alone,
Not by the glitter when I smile and shine.
Beneath the light, I carry pain unknown,
Yet still, I seek to brighten this world of mine.
Does the spark I give bring shadows near?
Perhaps in sadness, hope and strength appear

I really like how this poem shows that there’s more to people than what we see on the surface. The lines about hidden pain and finding strength in sadness feel really real and relatable.
