Flowers On the Carpet

Remembering the passionate bliss
being silly in the afternoon
feeling the love we shared
and the sparkle in your eyes

You never looked so wonderful
holding you I could get lost
caught up in that wonderful you
trapped in the long strands of your raven hair

It's the fire that burns today
keeping my hope alive, I'm sorry
Forgive me I'm foolish
I will forever and always love you

Wonderful memories make me smile
rapture the embrace of our union
your scent still filling my nostrils
the flowered carpet of an afternoon...
