Goodbye ....

Hi Everyone

I have been on the site a couple of weeks now and unfortunately it has not quite worked out 
for me on a personal level. I would like to thank all the kind folk who have left me feedback. 
I will be eternally grateful for all the nice comments and support that I have recieved during 
my time here. 

But... alas I feel too restricted. 

There are 2 main reasons why I am leaving and they are as listed below:

1) The Profanity Rule is as far as I am concerned too restrictive for my creative juices to 
flow properly. Sometimes a profanity is relevant to hit home a point. Not in a gratuitous way 
but in a way that is relavant to the structure and the form of the write.

2) There are way too many GODBODS on this site. Constantly preaching at us through the 
written word. I find the menatlity of these people completely unbelievable in this day and 
age. They insult my intelligence with their lack of intelligence.

So .... There it is in a nutshell !!!

If anyone is interested in reading anymore of my work they can find me at HELLO POETRY. 

It is a lovely site full of lovely people - Come on over - I'll introduce you to some real nice 
folk who are really passionate about poetry. You won't be dissapointed !!!

Daniel Cheeseman Date: 4/3/2010 3:05:00 AM Just too sad Thats all I can say another trinket out of the treasure box, I agree I dont like to be preached from the pulpits of poetry, this is one of the biggest problems in society today too much of the preaching and not enough of doing what they preach, good luck and will visit your work for some fresh air, but you have to admitt there are some lovely people on this site Daniel

All who arrive bring something different to the table, and your poetry Bathsheba is no exception. Plus your name is darned Kool. James Fraser Date: 4/3/2010 3:00:00 AM Regarding what Soupers write, there is so many topices, themes, subjects and ideas from the mind to write about. The Soup is not a preaching site, just as non believers should not blaspheme against believers. If there ARE, constant writes relating to religion, well - we either comment or we don't. But as i have mentioned, there are so many things to write about, and writing about the same thing all the time, is like tunnel vision >> James
James Fraser Date: 4/3/2010 2:55:00 AM Bathsheba, i dare say there are many religions on the Soup. I am not a religious person, and people should write what they want. If there are restrictions, any site can change and adapt by using birhdates and radio buttons so that poets can determine what age barriers the Soupers have access to. If your poem was adult related, you would check a box, and no one under 18 could view it, etc etc. Its not hard to do >> James
Andrea Dietrich Date: 4/2/2010 3:40:00 PM Bathsheba, I think I may have commented to u once or twice. Can't recall now. 'This is a huge site, and I have found many personality types here. I wish you'd have given it more a chance. I feel kind of like Christopher here. I have a strong Christian upbringing, but I also appreciate all types of poetry. In fact, I do not like preachy poems but I like well written poetry that explores the facets of any topic. Couldn't you just leave your less "profane" stuff here and still post?Luv, andrea

This place is very swamped with Jesus folk, in reality with you I think maybe it is just a sticky web to catch unfortunates. Poetry shouldn't be censored I agree but there are so many sites about like youtube etc all swearing and people talking a load of rubbish. This site is at least polite rubbish !!
