How can Geoff Duke be Dead

How can Geoff Duke be Dead

Going down to the bottom of Barregarrow
Past the crossroads above the road dives down
In my minds eye imagination drives me on
Full throttle impetus now a projection through space
Past the White Chapel a hundred and twenty miles an hour
Wheels skimming and dancing barely touching the ground
Skill and nerve enhanced playing with gravities pull
Ultimate this a test of a man to do his best

God bless the most famous TT rider Geoff Duke who died on the 1st May 2015 a lovely old man aged 92

I'd like to add him to list of the categories unlisted as - manly braveness and humility !

what a wonderful tribute Nigel - they had a commemorative ride out for him the other weekend - the hearse managed to get to about 90mph along the cronk y voddy straight - police were manning strategic road junctions to allow unimpeded rapid progress around the mountain course. TT practices start tomorrow evening - can't wait... I will be at the Grandstand all TT week on race days woohoo:-) Hugs Jan xx
