When It's Hard To Say Good-Bye

When it's hard to say good-bye
with questions unanswered I wonder why.
You had to leave and go away
and the pain you felt I now feel today.
Within time I know I'll try
to ease my pain and say good-bye.

But my memories I'll hold of you
and in my heart you'll be there too.
I'll think of you each passing day
and to God I will continue to pray.
But someday we'll be together again
and we'll be united as we were back then.

When the doves are set free
you are the angel watching over me.
I see the tear fall from your eye
as you say your final last good-bye.
I guess I'll never know why
It's so hard to say good-bye.

So spread your wings and fly free
for you have made it to the world of eternity.
And now your pain has gone away
but I know your with God today.
Good-bye is hard for me to say
but in time my pain will go away.
