To You

To you,

She was a girl

She was a free spirit

She was happy

She was loving

She was what you needed.

She had hopes

She had dreams

She had crazy ideas, but you didn’t mind

She had smiles,

She wore them every day

She had love

She had you.

She was temporary

Just like everything else

She could give

It wasn’t enough

She loved,

But she fell through the cracks.

She is dying

She is alone

She has nothing left to call her own

She gave it all away

She is unhappy

She is giving up

To you,

She is just another girl
