The witches you couldn't burn

So many innocent women were slaughtered in the name of Witchcraft.
It's just such a crazy concept, I don't know whether to cry or laugh.
They'd get burned at the stake for any indifference,
I mean how stupid must people be, for having such ignorance?

Questioned for having an opinion, a voice or even, just a black cat?
Come on, really? how silly is that?
If I had lived in those times, I would have been one of the first to go.
My love of crystals, skulls, A deck of Tarot.
My love for the weird unknowns, anything occult,
But because of this, Death would be the result.

You'd be ostracized, just for speaking out of turn.
So many innocent women died back then. Such a concern.
A way to control women, You see it was a ploy,
A strong woman in that society was dangerous, they must be destroyed.

They'd victimise women to the point of no return,
But we are the descendants of the witches they just couldn't burn.
