3 AM Thoughts

You don’t even know yet
what you’ve left in me
how your hand finds mine without trying,
pulls me closer,
like you’ve always known the way.

Even in the dark,
you steady me.

Your breath, quiet, close
something soft I wasn’t meant to hear,
but do.

And I hold it,
like I’ve already promised to,
like keeping you
was never a question.
