To hail again
In days when storms do seem to overwhelm me,
And nights when darkness feels too heavy;
The moments when day breaks seem too foggy,
And my eyes cannot see the joy said to come in the morning—
Thou art my Comforter.
In phases when the enemies do surround me,
And it seems that their weapons are prospering;
Moments when the enemies' agenda seems to prevail,
And my heart doth lose its hope to hail—
Thou, O Lord, art a Shield for me.
Thou, O Lord, art my Glory;
With Thee in my boat, in a boisterous storm, I have victory.
Thou upholdest me with Thy right hand—like a champion I am;
I have won against the enemy, for he trembleth at the mention of Thy name.
