Mwila The Poet Poem
From their backs being the beds
Of comfort for the children crying,
To being the chefs in the kitchen
Preparing 'out of the world' cuisines.
Their hearts, a deep ocean
Of love, tenderness and caring
Their arms wide open for hugs of warmth,
To whom can you compare them?
They are stars, always shining
Yet barely appreciated,
They are waters,
Daily quenches thirsts
Yet barely appreciated,
They are diamonds,
Rare to find
yet priceless in value,
I wonder what value the would be
Without them

Mwila The Poet Poem
When in a night
so dark, scary and lonely,
With your heart so burdened and uptight,
When your claim, ' small me - big God,'
makes you feel like your prayers
are nothing more than an ant's whispers
in an elephant's ear - useless.
When you feel tired and worthless,
like one fourth the tree remaining in the ground
while a third of it is cut down,
Do not not lose hope, remember he says,
"For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease."
Christ will revitalize you.

Mwila The Poet Poem
In the quietness of the morning,
Awakened by the sounds of birds chirping,
I sit by the lake and gaze at the waters flowing,
Then bit by bit and little by little, just like the waters,
His [Jesus] Peace fills my heart
As he whispers His comforting words,
"Be still and know, that I am Christ."
