A SURE ANCHOR
In stormy moments, God reminds us He is always by our side;
He is our sure and steadfast Anchor, where our souls can safely abide.
We need not trust our strength or face the raging sea alone;
We can kneel in prayer and hold to Jesus, for in Him we are secure and known.
When fear whispers, “Everything will fall apart,” let faith arise and say, “He’s near!”
For God has promised, sworn by Himself—there is none greater, none more dear.
Our Anchor reaches beyond the veil, firmly fastened to heaven’s throne;
The storms of earth cannot disturb the peace where God’s presence is known.
His rope cannot be broken, His promises cannot fail;
Though waves may rise and winds may roar, His mighty love will prevail.
He is the Anchor of our souls—sure, steadfast, firm, and true;
And every testimony of grace and mercy will remind us what our God can do.
Jesus entered through the veil as our Forerunner, through death’s fierce tide;
He conquered sin and opened heaven’s safe harbor, where our souls may safely abide.
Our Anchor is not buried in the mud, nor drifting with the foam;
It is firmly fixed in Jesus Christ, our Rock, our Refuge, and our home.
So stand, anchored daughter, unmovable when the unknown appears;
Your worth is secure in God’s promise, untouched by storms or fears.
He holds the burdened tenderly and will not let His children sink;
When we cannot see the way ahead, His faithful hand will guide us as we think.
So kneel in prayer, take hold of Jesus, and hold firmly to His hand;
For our Anchor is sure and secure, though we may not understand.
Let us praise Him in advance, for His promise is settled and His Word is true—
The storm may shake us, but it cannot break us, because our Anchor holds us through.
