I fell in love with Jesus by Suzan Satchell

I fell in love with Jesus

Jesus, I am so happy I fell in love with you.
I never regret the day I did, and I still have not had any to date.
All I know is that I keep falling in love with you over and over again.
You make my life complete.
Thank you for loving me unconditionally throughout the years.
Yesterday I chose you
Today I chose you, and tomorrow I will still choose you.
Always and forever, it's Jesus and me.
No greater love exists than Jesus' love.
I fell in love with Jesus when I was just a tiny tot as I watched my grandmother pray.
She taught me how to pray and trust someone who cared.
I fell in love with Jesus because He first loved me.
My grandmother was my real-life example of what a trusting relationship should be.
Mother, as we called her, would call us to prayer with her favorite friend.
I chose Jesus then and there to be my favorite too.
I knew He would love me because I could see it on my grandmother's face.
Her face was always smiling, her lips were always singing, and prayer was her thing.
It was so nice to have a grandmother who tried to live how Jesus lived.
I would never be who I am today if it were not for my grandmother's faith.
Because of her love for Jesus, I was able to fall in love with Him.
Yes, I fell in love with Jesus, and I would do it over and over again.
You passed away when I was only five, but I am still with Jesus, who is my favorite best friend.
Someday I will see you in glory, where Jesus will be our King, because I am living the way you did with Jesus as my best friend.

(In honor of my grandmother, affectionately called "Mother,” Mae McFarlane.)

The ladder of life By: Suzan Satchell

The ladder of life

The ladder of life is not meant for style, so be careful as you go up, so you don't slide.
Be nice and kind to those you pass by.
Be mindful of others as you make your stride.
Life is not constant, it changes with time.
Today it may be stable, but tomorrow it's not.
Make Jesus your main focus as you go by.
Show kindness to others, and you will reap it back in time.
In helping others, we strengthen our own ladder of life.
The ladder of life can be shaky at times, and help from others is needed many times.
We reap what we sow, so sow what you need.
The ladder of life is not meant for style.

I am a Christian by Suzan Satchell

I am a Christian

I'm a Christian. I'm not flawless; I'm just scared, battered, and bruised, but I'm still a striving Christian.
I'm striving to be like Jesus, my master and king, and to be a Christ-like Christian.
I'm a Christian, and I want the world to know. I'm a Christian I'm led by His victorious right hand.
I'm a Christian living by the master's plan.
I'm a Christian by choice and determination.
I'm not perfect; I'm just a dedicated Christian.
I'm a Christian, and I pledge my allegiance to no other one.
Through thick and thin.
In good and bad times.
I hope to be a faithful Christian and make it to the promised land.
Oh, how sweet it is to be an obedient Christian.
Yes, I am a Christian, and I show it best by living a Christ-like, real-life sermon.

I am my mother's child by Suzan Satchell

I am my mother's child
By: Suzan Satchell
I am my mother's child I am my mother's child so precious, so kind and so dear. I'm my mother's child my hair so dark and so fine. I' m my mother's child my eye's so brown, so bright, I'm my mother's child my lips my smile so wide. I'm my mother's child I hear it all the times. I'm my mother's child for this can never hide. I'm my mother's child so sweet, so kind, and so fine. I'm my mother's child my lips my words so kind. I'm my mother's child my voice just simply nice. I'm my mother's child my hands so slender, yet so willing and helpful. I'm my mother's child I let the whole world know it. I'm my mother's child my feet so swift so light. I'm my mother's child do you hear me, words spoken so kind? I'm my mother's child with a heart like a gem. I'm my mother's child a heart so full of love. I'm my mother's child she taught me gems and poems. I'm my mother's child she taught me to pray and sing. I'm my mother's child she whispered sweet words to me she passed away so long, yet she still lives on in me……because I'm my mother's child.

If Christ had not risen by Suzan Satchell

If Christ had not risen

If Christ had not risen, our sins could not be forgiven.
We would never be able to be granted a pardon.
If Christ had not risen, there would be no way for us to get access to grace and eternity.
If Christ had not risen, what would we do for the sacrifice of the sin offering? Turtledove and bullock prices would be high, and sin offerings would be too much to pay for you or even me. Christ saw the problem, and He paid the price a long, long time ago.
If Christ had not risen, our souls would be lost.
But because of His blood, we are pardoned and set free at the cross.
If Christ had not risen, where would we spend eternity? That's a question each one must answer.
But thank God for Christ's victory; we are saved and set free.

I had a dream I was in heaven

I had a dream of heaven, in the dream, I saw the new Jerusalem coming out of heaven and hovering above the earth. The fanfare of bright angels and trumpets filled the air. God was standing to my right, holding out white garments that were so pure they looked like gold.

An angel was standing to my left and had a scroll with the names of God's jewels on it. When he called my name, I was lifted before God. God said something to me, and He placed a robe on me, I was then lifted into heaven's tranquility.

The scene was one of pure holiness as angels moved about. I never felt such deep peace and happiness as I experienced in my dream. As I moved around in heaven, I knew it was because of God's salvation plan that paid my passage to be there.

The atmosphere was refreshing a place I had never seen before and when I woke and realized I was still in bed I closed my eyes and went back to bed.

I met a girl by Suzan Satchell

I met a girl

I met a girl who once was me who wandered far from Christ
I met a girl who once was me who didn't have time to pray.
I met a girl who once was me who didn't have time for anyone else.
I met a girl who once was me she was so busy doing everything else except to whisper a prayer or praise.
Yes, I met a girl who once was me who tried to get the best of everything in life.
I met a girl who once was me, she was distressed and full of self.
I met a girl who once was me who reminded me of myself.
Yes, I met a girl who once was me and we came face to face one day.
I met a girl who once was me, and she was so empty inside.
I met a girl who once was me and I could not leave her in the same place.
Yes, I met a girl who once was me and was able to point her to the Savior's grace.
I met a girl who once was me now we are standing side by side save and standing in Christ.

Freedom is coming by Suzan Satchell

Freedom is coming.

Freedom is coming, Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming one of these days.
In the valley, there are troubles; sometimes they're hard to take.
The mountain seems so hard to climb, and faith gets so weak.
But remember, God has promised trials will only come to make us strong, so turn your eyes to heaven; help will come in time.
Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming; somebody pray.
John the Revelator saw Jerusalem coming down—a city that is pure gold. It's a sight to behold, and all the angels singing worthy the Lamb, so I bowed before His golden throne and cried freedom at last.
Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming today.
Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming, Jesus says.
When I shall behold Him and His glory shine on me and I hear His sweet and tender voice, I have made all things new. Oh, what a day that will be.
Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming; it’s yours today.
Freedom is coming, Freedom is coming, Freedom is coming, everybody pray.
Freedom is coming. Freedom is coming. Freedom is here to stay.

I stand amazed by Suzan Satchell

I stand amazed

I stand amazed, and what do I see? Only God's wonderful love for me.
I stand amazed, and what beauty! I see God reaching down and rescuing me.
Yes, I stand amazed, and what do I see? God's beautiful face as He smiles at me.
I stand amazed, and what do I see? God's unconditional love that He offers me.
I stand amazed, and what do I see? an amazing love that is, oh, so free.
I stand amazed at the grace I see, His grace, and the pardon He gives freely to me.
I stand amazed, and what do I see? I see Christ's sacrifice on Calvary's tree.
I stand amazed, and what do I see? His wonderful grace is sufficient for me.
Yes, I stand amazed, and what do I see?
God's amazing grace truly amazes me.

God's wonder of wonders by Suzan Satchell

God's wonder of wonders.

On top of the mountain, what beauty can I behold?
God's wonders can be seen everywhere, from rivers to plants and man—God's crowning creation master piece.
Fresh air and majestic birds added to the atmosphere.
The beautiful sunrise in the east brings hope with its rising.
A new day to give thanks, a new day to stand strong, a new day to sing a song.
Oh, I can see the Wonder of Wonders as I gaze into the sky.
I can hear God's gentle whisper and sweet melody in each wind that rushes by, and my heart draws closer to a God who understands.
I sit in silence because I am amazed at the wonder of God's wonder, and I can feel his hands as they draw me still closer to his love and compassion, so I am assured that I am in his hand.
Oh, wonder of Wonders can be seen high on the mountaintop.
It’s a wonder of awesomeness, I see.
Just let me stay right here as I thank God for his wonder of creation, which includes both you and me.
