Here I Am

Here I am,
still battling on,
despite all I've had to face.
Slowly rebuilding,
my confidence and pride,
as things finally start falling into place.

Here I am,
reclaiming my power,
taking the reins of control.
Finding the courage,
to create a life,
Where peace and happiness line my soul.

Here I am,
sharing my poetry,
writing from the emotions I can't contain.
Unaware just how much,
healing it would bring,
By creating purpose from all my pain.

There is loneliness in this poem. That's life when we grow old. I enjoyed reading your poem very much.
