Good Dog
My owner isn't a good one.
He forgets to feed me.
We rarely go on walks, let alone play anything together.
I am jealous of the other dogs at the dog park.
When I decided to run away, I felt free for a few seconds, I felt hopeful about the future, I felt like I could find someone to take proper care of me.
But then I heard the lonely cry of my owner calling my name. As lonely and starved I feel, I couldn't shake the feeling that leaving was a mistake.
He loves me.
He pets me.
He hugs and kisses me.
He let's me sleep in his bed.
No matter my feelings, it's not fair to him.
No matter how neglected I feel, I can't help
to come back.
