Falling for a Friend

What are you supposed to do,
falling for a friend, who may not feel the same about you,
cause telling them how you feel,
could lead to losing a friendship that you would not dare to do,
but keeping it all within you not only breaks your heart but your mind too,
What are you supposed to do,
falling for a friend whose friendship means the world to you,
wanting to click send but afraid that person would then become 'someone you once knew',
instead spending all day fantasising about things that could never come true,
Falling for a friend,
It's not fair,
seeing them with someone else and having to  pretend like you don't care,
and even when it hurts, you will keep your feelings a secret,
cause losing that friendship will be the biggest regret.
