Isn't it weird, how things change,
Everything seems the same but when u look back it's all a bit strange,
and all i want right now, is a simple exchange,
my life in exchange for the life I had when i was a kid which was more in place,
Isn't it weird, how fast the time move,
and how within seconds people can be removed,
removed from our life's that makes us feel like we are stabbed in the heart with a couple of knifes,
and people say these are the lessons in life that makes us wise,
But what if I don't want to be wise,
but a kid who actually likes their life,
Isn't it weird, how we humans are,
filled with so many emotions but yet we feel like nothing,
surrounded by ton of words but yet can't describe exactly what we feel,
So many thoughts but yet nothing comes out,
how brain is the one to decide but yet we cling on to the heart to make a choice.

I lay awake in the darkness,
My body so still but my mind racing till I get ill,
I ask myself
Who am I ? A complete lie?
My heart racing so fast,
My thoughts completely lost,
But here I am ,
Holding myself together,

You making all those stupid noise,
Making everything seem so nice,

I wanna laugh with you at midnight,

I wanna tell you goodnight,

Dear old friend,
I miss You,
Miss our little talks and those that lasted for hours,
Miss our midnight mindless talks,
times when we didn't care at all,
about the past nor the future,
time when the present was the only thing that mattered,
And with you by my side, my demons they were slaughtered,
Dear old friend,
I want you to know that you still matter,
And you always did,
You were with me through the darkest paths,
And made the fire seem like a warm bath,
You probably have moved on,
And I'm just a lost memory that's long gone,
And that's fine, totally fine,
Probably our connection has crossed the expiry line,
Dear old friend,
But how do I ever move on,
Cause our memories keep me up till dawn,
And with you everything seemed so calm,
Dear old friend,
If i could turn back time and get back to you,
I will sacrifice everything i have if that's what i have to.

Falling in love, I don't know, it feels like a lot to handle,
So much emotions, I feel it will burn me down like a candle,
I've never been in love but I imagine it and it's wonderful,
But a part of me is scared and terrified about losing the loved one,
Love feels so warm but I'm afraid if I get too close It'll burn me down,
True love is hard to find and do I deserve it I don't know.

I'll love you like how the moon loves the sun,
From afar,
Cause when we get too close,
Everything will go dark,
My love for you will never die,
But I will die,
If that's what it takes for you to be alive,
I love you like how Icarus loved the sun,
Too blind to see the reality,
That I could never be with you,
Cause your love so warm,but too close will burn me down,
So I'll love you from afar
Though it leaves my heart with a heavy scar.

There was a girl whose soul which was past repair ,
she didn't want perfection , she wanted affection,
people who will understand her messed up emotions,
She wanted to care, care for someone who will care for her too,
She wanted love, the type of love which would make her feel peaceful,
And there she was with the ticking clock,
Dreaming of things that she would forever be searching for.

I guess I'm a fool,
a fool that has fallen in love,
with a soul so beautiful,
but the fate is rather dreadful,
it was not meant to be,
but a speck of hope that seems to be the world to me,
thoughts in my head filled with memories that could never be true ,
because it was never meant to be but rather a maybe,
a maybe that seemed impossible,
feelings that are not expressible,
in the end, it's all just a dream that will never be reality,
because in reality, we were never meant to be.
