I Don'T Want To Watch You Fall Away

Take off the mask sweetheart
I know who you are
Give me the pills and put the bottle down

Lean on me just for a little while
Listen to my heart beat
And know that I'm alive for you

You're a little distant love
Please don't walk away from me

I know this feels hopeless, but -
Promise me you won't lose faith dear

I hear those screams you think are silent
Take down the wall and let me in

I see your hands are shaking
I understand that you're scared
But just rest your head on my shoulder baby - and I'll chase away those fears

If you'd just let me hold you
I wouldn't have to tell you that everything's going to be alright
You'd feel it
If you'd just look into my eyes
You'd see it

Take off the mask sweetheart
I know who you are
I don't want to watch you fall away from me
Please give me the pills and put the bottle down...

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Good poem. Excuse me...the pill's name defines how valuable or good your poetry is. You detest alcoholism seemingly. Wishing you all the best and success.
