Ten Five

Met you on the block
I saw you as "hot"
Had to get your number
I needed a shot

Like caffeine on the rocks
I needed you on top
Your smile was my liquor
I had a master plot

Why didn't I score?
I wanted a tour
Not just physical
Baby girl, I wanted more

I left for three months
By the end I was sore
My injury made me weak
Because yes, I fell short

I still had big dreams
Of us
By the shore
And If I come back,
Would you give in to the core?

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
