Emotions
It’s hard to express exactly how you feel at times You sometimes wish that others could read your mind Over time emotions seem to take a toll
causing you to bottle up your feelings and fold Waking up depressed and angry
unable to be controlled
you go through the days pretending you’re just fine until the time comes when you’re done lying
you pour out your heart
all the hurt, pain and grief
then you realize that you aren’t even speaking you’re reminding yourself of the pain you’ve been feeling when the time comes to tell another
your response is always ‘I’m fine’ with a smile
Once you’ve ‘checked out’ emotionally
the feelings are gone
No more tears, heartache or stress
You’re fine for the time being because you’ve blocked everything and everyone out
No more pain
Hugs, kisses and intimacy are out the window because you can’t take it anymore
I have ‘checked out’
No more worrying, pain, heartache or disappointments No more worrying
Leaving all my emotional issue to the man above
