Dusty Glasses

There is times in life when you feel like you're standing still.

Day after day you remain a glass in the back of the cabinet dusty, unmoved, and unfilled.

Its far out of reach and in the back.

There's too many glasses so you lost track.

At times life moves too fast.

It feels like a bullet from a gun blast.

You're on a rollercoaster that never stops.

You're the car in a high speed chase with the cops.

At times life feels perfectly fine.

Like falls and their colors and they way things shine.

The feeling of home and that one thing is mine. At times life feels like absolute .

You scrub and scrub but theres still grit.

You strike the match a million times and it won't stay lit.

One day life forces change on you.

So you pack up most of your things then out of the blue,

You remember your favorite glass on the shelf.

So you clear the clutter, clean it and pour a drink for yourself.

I loved your images, especially the last line. Yes, keep pouring words into your dusty glass and share with us your poetry. Yes, keep scrubbing that grit even though it's an impossible endeavor. Your words shine through for all of us to enjoy in your home.
