Lost Family

You brought me in, and let me grow,
You allowed me to love, even though you knew you would go.

Bonds were made, and taken away,
A small child’s love was just whipped away.

I miss that baby more than words could say,
The smile and fun I miss nearly everyday.

You are gone and that is fine,
Removing that baby is what’s taking me time.

A love had grown, beyond your own,
But you don’t see, you have now left me alone.
