Five Homeless Haiku

five homeless haiku

open door inviting
enter, search, touch, read, smell
coffee-stained words

from mother’s urn we draw
names for secret santa
ash blows away

new wrinkles daily
don’t despair
the dead won’t care

save whales and glaciers
polar bears and tiger cubs
humans not so much

here to view the corpse
should i smile or should i weep
what’s your view on sleep
