Porcelain Face

The man with a porcelain face,
wore a smile for many days,
He didn't take it off not once,
wearing it for months and months.

One day he looked in the mirror,
and let himself snicker,
He took of the smile,
and pondered for a while,
What would they think if they saw his face?
would it be disgrace?
As tears flew swiftly down his cheek,
He thought himself a freak.

The man with a porcelain face,
somewhat of a disgrace,
No longer wanted to be pretending,
and just like a painting,
washed the mistake away,
to make himself feel okay.

He drew a new masterpiece,
A brand new face,
That he kept for centuries.

The man with a porcelain face,
walked out of the house barefaced,
Ignoring all the whispers,
That left his ugly face blisters,
The man decided to never again hide,
To help others by his side,
So they don't ever have to hide away,
To make themselves feel okay.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
