John 8

She was brought in front of Him,
Dragged by her accusers who were shouting.
Calling her all sorts of ugly names,
Punching their fists with stones in their other hands.

She stood still in the center of the crowd,
       Holding her head up high.
       Tears stung behind her eyes.
Little blood drops dripped from her lips,
As she tried not to show how much it hurt.

She looked at the man who stood silent there,
        He looked different from them.
She depicted a beautiful light surrounding Him.
With so much love and peace in His eyes.
Immediately she felt safe and knew,
She is at the right place.

She blocked out all the voices,
And fix her eyes on Him.
He looked at her and smiled,
Went down on the ground and wrote.

She wondered what could He possibly wrote,
Amidst the chaos in the sand.
        The accusers’ voices quiet,
        As He stood up again.

She heard Him saying some words
But her heart beating so loud it deafening out His words.
She looked closer to what He wrote.
“The same finger who wrote the Ten Commandments,
Is the finger who is writing in the sand.
Thou shall not judged unless you want to be judged.
All women are made to be loved by men.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
