Memories

There is a little box in my heart
Where all my memories are stored
Because of the memories which’ve fought to stay in
The box is a little torn

Some of them are good
Some of them are bad
But none of them I regret
Well maybe some of them just a tad

The box is opened often
When I am feeling a little alone
I open it when I am tired
When I’m sad or when I’m bored

The box means a lot
As I am sure you can understand
For we all have that something
Where all our memories land

Sometimes unknowingly even
We keep our memories close
To experience that emotion again
To just feel a bit more

Because the future is unpredictable
You don’t know if it’s loss or gain
You never know your next season
Will it be spring or will it be rain?

So after years and years of your life
When you’re lying on your death bed
It’s good to have something
That reminds you of your happiness instead

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
