Un-Social Media

People posting, sharing their stuff
As people scroll through
They can get enough.
Your smiles
Your laughs
We see it all,
There is no need
For that crystal ball.

Why not keep quiet,
Privacy is treasure.
Why is it so important
To share your sadness
Or your pleasure.

People you dont know,
They gorge on your stuff.
The keyboard warrior arises,
They can't tell
When enough is enough.
They spin it this way
So it serves their purpose.
Afraid to show their faces,
They hide behind the curtains

Privacy is my treasure
And I will guard it with my life.
So you wont see any pictures
Of my kids, me or my wife.

But if you want to see me,
Or pop round for a chat
You know where I live
You know where I'm at.
Dont be afraid
To knock at my door,
I love the company
I wish ot would happen much more

Such a true penned piece John, indeed we all miss that face to face chat as social media has robbed us of all of that. Good to meet a fellow Brit on AP, take care and keep safe, Gordon

Put the coffee pot on, I'm heading over! People used to do more visiting, didn't they? We are in a strange experiment and I wonder how it will turn out. Some good some bad no doubt. Enjoyed your poem :)
