The Mouse

The mouse was swallowed by a grouse,
Hawk had the grouse for dinner.
One gunshot blast, the hawk was dead,
the mouse walked out the winner.

I really enjoyed your poem. It reminded me of a nursery rhyme I loved to sing as a child. 'There was an old lady that swallowed a fly'. Nicely done.

Maybe the mouse ate the hawk for dinner. Cute one, Beverly! Cheers, Gershon
