Till I See You Again

Till I See You Again

I believe soulmates are real,
but i think there is more then just one.
I think there is more then one person,
that was meant to be in your life.
For the better or for the worse.

I believe soulmates are real,
yet their are different types.
A friend, a guide, an experience, a heartbreaker,
and a lover.

I met my friend soulmate,
there are more then one,
but this one, wasn't just a friend.
She was a friend, a guide, an experience, and a heartbreaker.

As my friend we had many amazing memories,
She guided me through the storm towards the rainbow,
We experienced so many things of life as we grew up,
but at the end, she broke my heart.

I've always believed that when you lose a soulmate,
apart of you goes with them,
because you were meant for them in some way,
and so were they.
And sadly I was correct.

She's gone,
and I'm still here.
I always thought if one of us were gone,
the world would explode.
Mine did, yours didn't.
I lost my friend soulmate.
We had our time,
she changed my life,
for the better and for the worse.

And I have a long time till I can hold my friend,
But I know she's holding me whenever she can.
We had a thing we called heart holding,
when we put our hands on our hearts,
we are holding eachother, and in that way we are connected.

There was a time for us,
that ended to shortly.
But I will wait till I see you again.
My friend.

Olivia, your poem evoked that thick highschool friendship feeling. When you feel so tightly tied together. It's definitely love. It's stronger in many ways than a heterosexual love. As such, hurt in absence permeates. Good poem to tell it.
