Song Bird

Love, at first sight,
is what happened between me and you.
You had beautiful big eyes brighter than the sun,
in a golden brown crib with a white cloud
is where you stayed daily and nightly.

A bird with a string,
that looked just like me,
spun above your head and sung you to bed.
Every night smiling so brightly, listening to it,
and closed your eyes to go to sleep.

One early morning,
a day I will never forget,
is the day I tried singing like the fake.
And to me, it wasn't great,
but when I looked towards your window,
there you were with your beautiful big eyes with a bright smile,
staring straight at me.

So I made a promise to myself,
that every day,
to see you wake,
I would sing a tune just for you.

Every day of your life,
till you fly out of your nest,
I watch your wings grow,
and no matter what,
I will sing to you.
Sincerely, your songbird.

Till I See You Again

Till I See You Again

I believe soulmates are real,
but i think there is more then just one.
I think there is more then one person,
that was meant to be in your life.
For the better or for the worse.

I believe soulmates are real,
yet their are different types.
A friend, a guide, an experience, a heartbreaker,
and a lover.

I met my friend soulmate,
there are more then one,
but this one, wasn't just a friend.
She was a friend, a guide, an experience, and a heartbreaker.

As my friend we had many amazing memories,
She guided me through the storm towards the rainbow,
We experienced so many things of life as we grew up,
but at the end, she broke my heart.

I've always believed that when you lose a soulmate,
apart of you goes with them,
because you were meant for them in some way,
and so were they.
And sadly I was correct.

She's gone,
and I'm still here.
I always thought if one of us were gone,
the world would explode.
Mine did, yours didn't.
I lost my friend soulmate.
We had our time,
she changed my life,
for the better and for the worse.

And I have a long time till I can hold my friend,
But I know she's holding me whenever she can.
We had a thing we called heart holding,
when we put our hands on our hearts,
we are holding eachother, and in that way we are connected.

There was a time for us,
that ended to shortly.
But I will wait till I see you again.
My friend.

My Eyes

From a flick of a moment,
at the blink of my eyes,
the light was stolen straight from my eyes.

As a baby, they were big and hopeful.
As a child, they danced a joyous dance.
Making them unidentifiable to the human eye,
making them wonder, what color are your eyes?

From a flick of a moment,
at the blink of my eyes,
the light shined brightly straight from my eyes.

The eyes are the gateway to the soul,
my gateway was wide open,
open to all to see the performance,
of my soul dancing magnificently.

But at a flick of a moment,
at the blink of my eyes,
from the words that were said,
the light was stolen straight from my eyes.

The eyes are the gateway to the soul,
mine is now a prison,
locked up tightly,
to the soul of a person,
you can not find.

But if you so must,
want to try.
Just know that in the pupil of my eye,
there is a soul,
looking for the center of my eye.
