Glare of the Sun

A picture in a broken frame,
Surrounded by unwanted fame,
Looking through this mirror in disgrace,
The glass shatters and scars your face,

Tremors split the earth beneath us all,
Cracks through which many will fall,
Who will be the ones to fight back?
Who will be the ones to stand tall?

Stuck in a quiet disarray,
I will not make it through the day,
As all this pressure is placed on me,
The water is getting to deep to breath,

Tremors split the earth beneath us all,
Cracks through which many will fall,
Who will be the ones to fight back?
Who will be the ones to stand tall?

Awaken to a new day,
Put the shy and shame away,
Take the time to look around,
Take a step above the ground,
But do not look too deep into the sky,
For the glare of the sun may leave you blind.

Much to think about here. Nice use of rhyme. You may want to classify this poem as rhyme instead of I do not know. You can edit poems by going to the Member Area. The staff does not read poem that are classifies as I do not know. Welcome to Poetry Soup! I hope you enjoy your time spent here. Best wishes with your writing. Karen
